Meet The President: Dennis Russell
Dennis Russell is the President and owner of Century 21 Alliance Group LLC, Birmingham, Alabama. The Noxapater, Mississippi native has been married to his wife Roxanne for 13 years and she too is a Mississippi State graduate. Dennis received his Bachelor of Science degree from Mississippi State University and received his commission as a second Lieutenant from the U.S. Army ROTC in 1990. Following his graduation he served active duty for one year during The Gulf War at Ft Eustis, Virginia. He attended U.S. Army Transportation School and later the U.S. Army Air Assault School.Dennis began his civilian career at UAD Pharmaceuticals and then
Forest Pharmaceuticals as an Internal Auditor and continued with Forest for 9 years. He was responsible sales force audits in all 50 states and Puerto Rico.
Dennis began his real estate career in 1999 as a sales associate with Century 21 Alliance Group. He was an award winning Top Producer with Century 21 Alliance Group and a Birmingham Association of Realtors Club of Excellence recipient as a salesman for 3 years. In 2001, he became a real estate broker for Century 21 Alliance Group in Trussville, Alabama where he received the coveted Centurion Award for having one of the top offices in the United States. In 2003, Dennis opened his own office in Hoover, Alabama and became the first company in the region to receive the Centurion Award in its first year of business. Dennis has since become President and owner of Century 21 Alliance Group LLC Hoover. Under the leadership of Dennis, Century 21 Alliance Group was the #1 Company in Alabama in 2005 with over 450 homes sold and a total sales volume of 65 millions dollars. Dennis is very active in all Realtor functions and has attended the International Management Academy for Century 21 Real Estate Brokers.
Dennis is the President of the Greater Alabama Brokers Council for Century 21. He is responsible for leading his staff and all Alabama Century 21 brokers in growing the Century 21 brand. In this position, Dennis can help broker and owners grow their business and learn from each other.
Dennis is a past ambassador for the Hoover Chamber of Commerce and served on the Economic Development Board.
For the past 10 years Dennis has participated in Reading Across America, a nationwide reading incentive program where a member of the community reads to students and emphasizes how important reading is to all of us on a daily basis.
Dennis is a volunteer for the Pelham YMCA where he coaches 3, 4, and 5 year old t-ball.
While living in Mississippi Dennis and his wife Roxanne sponsored a child at the Palmer home for children in Columbus, Ms.
Dennis was nominated to Dunn and Bradstreet’s Corporate Who’s Who in 2002.
Dennis is a member of the American Legion Post 911 in Birmingham, Alabama.
Dennis is a Board Member for Easter Seals for the Birmingham area. He is active in fundraising, a member of the Development Committee, and the long range planning committee. Easter Seals is an important charity because he has a disabled wife and the mission of Easter Seals is to help disabled people become more self sufficient and productive. Dennis explains his dedication to this cause through this statement - “I understand what a disabled person goes through because of my wife. I can empathize with someone who struggles with disabilities and that is why Easter Seals is so important to me”. Dennis became acquainted with Easter Seals through a long-standing corporate relationship between Easter Seals and Century 21. Century 21 is the largest corporate contributor to Easter Seals.
Dennis has been both a personal and corporate contributor to Habitat for Humanity. He and his fellow agents helped build a home for a family. This rewarding experience was an opportunity to give back to his community. Home ownership is the American dream and Dennis is proud to have been a part of making this family’s dream come true.
After Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast Dennis rallied his employees and took truckloads of supplies to the region. After the first trip Dennis found sponsors to send supplies and eventually formed a partnership with Riverchase Elementary in Hoover, Alabama. Subsequent trips were made to Delise Elementary with school supplies. Dennis was proud to just be a part of such a wonderful outpouring of help.
